North Carolina Ferry Services
Ferry transportation began in the mid-1920's when Captain J.B.(Toby) Tillett established tug and barge service across Oregon Inlet along North Carolina's Outer Banks. Each year, North Carolina ferries transport over 1.1 million vehicles and more than 2.5 million passengers across five separate bodies of water - the Currituck and Pamlico sounds and the Cape Fear, Neuse and Pamlico rivers.

North Carolina Marine Fisheries
North Carolina's Coastal Recreational Fishing License (CRFL), administered by the Division of Marine Fisheries (DMF), is effective Jan. 1, 2007. This license can be purchased on a daily, 10-day, annual or lifetime basis, or combined with a variety of licenses issued by the Wildlife Resources Commission (WRC). The license is available from WRC license agents throughout the state and at any DMF office.
